[War Event] The River

First three characters will make up the three fighting at the river.

Sera Yifune, a Kusa Chuunin, leads her three Genin squad into Konoha alongside a large river. The rapids were dangerous and strong, so fighting next to the river would prove risky. 'Good, Sera thought. She was ready to fight and kill, and she expected those with her to do the same.

Mianyi is among those that have been sent out from Konoha to head off Kusa's ninja forces and prevent them from reaching Konoha, Suna's newest ally. She's scarcely had time to arrive in Konoha and meet other ninjas before she was put into a team and sent off on the basis of intelligence that reached Konoha.

She moves with her team towards the river, where they are supposedly going to be encountering some of Kusa's ninjas. She keeps her attention out for signs of the Kusa-nin as she moves along with her team. When possible she tries to stick to cover, like bushes or trees, to improve the chances of sneaking up on Kusa's ninjas.

Tonou steps up beside Mianyi and pulls out his Kunai. He surveys the area spotting the enemy ahead. He would wait until they were a little closer before revealing himself and attacking. Kaze had stayed home, he wasn't ready to use him in combat just yet. Tonou could feel the uneasiness in the air. People were nervous, some were scared, this was the real thing. "Now is the time to Kill, not to think."

Kotetsu was the last of his team to show up to the area where they were tasked to stop the enemy. He was adorning his black robe and his two signature weapons, and as he attempted to greet his comrades, he noticed Tonou focusing on something not to far off.

"Your right" he said agreeing with him, yet in his head, he couldn't help to think over and over how the upcoming battle could unfold. It wasn't that he was scared of dying, yet a fear of failing his village, especially on his first official mission. Kotetsu's left hand hung lazily over his katana's hilt as he calmed his nerves for the fight.

OOC: This is the girl Mianyi fought in the tourny

Finally Sera notices the targets across the river. "Ikku! Report!" Ikku is a small rat-faced boy, the shortest of the Kusa Genin. "Two Suna Genin and one Konoha Genin." Sera motions forward and all three Genin behind her rush forward. Ikku is in the center. To his right is a girl with long blonde hair. To his right is his a tall boy who is bald. He is wielding a very long katana.

Mianyi nods her head in quiet agreement with Tonou's statement. This is a war. It is not a tournament. "And a time to be quiet," she adds on in her usual quiet voice. It is almost, but not quite, a rebuke. Quiet is something Mianyi knows, so she continues to move about in her quiet and almost shy demeanor.

Unfortunately, the warning seems to have come too late, as they are spotted by Sera and her genin scout. She recognizes the filthy leader of the group from the tournament. She bested her there, but only barely, and Sera's ruthlessness was more than apparent. Mianyi can't hesitate or hold back here, because if Sera was willing to kill her in the stadium, then there's no telling what she'll try out here.

"I fought that one in the tournament," she says in a low voice to Kotetsu and Tonou, referring to the leader. "She is vicious."

With that she takes up a defensive stance. No time to hold back, she aims a Great Breakthrough for the Kusa formation, aiming to scatter them to provide openings for Tonou and Kotetsu to get in there and wreak some havoc against them.

that jutsu:

Tonou springs over Mianyi sprinting after the wind technique. If it hits right, it will send the boy to the right further right near the river. The river means rapids, which in turn means death if your not prepared for it. Tonou prepares his right fist for Oukashou, and sends it to towards where the boy will be should Mianyi's attack land.

After shrugging off the anxiety a sly mischievous grin swept across Kotetsu's face. As soon as he noticed the enemy barreling towards them, he activated his tomoe 1 sharingan.

Upon the enemy approach, Mianyi attempted to break up the formation of the enemy with a wind technique, and Tonou darted off in the direction of the taller male. So he thought it best to go along with the plan and divide and conquer.

Kotetsu unsheathed his Heavenly blade, channeled lightning chakara into it and swung it in a wide arc to send a wave of lightning chakara to attempt to hit leave an opening on Ikku before using body flicker to appear in front of the girl with his katana raised and ready.

Ikku
Ikku is buffeted by the wind attack but manages to push through. Next he evades the lightning attack by rolling under it. He continues his forward rush at Mianyi, drawing a kunai in the process. He leaps forward and tries to stab Mianyi.

Tall boy
The Tall boy tries to leap out of the way of the wind attack, but is abruptly struck hard by a punch from Tonou. The strike sends him rolling backwards near the edge of the river but is able to catch himself from rolling in.

Girl
She responds to the body flicker by slamming her palms together, emitting a large ball of lightning from her body in response.

Mianyi doesn't bother with her previously exhibited tactics in the tournament of permitting hits to land in order to deliver a proper payback. There are no proctors here and there will be no medical nin just a few feet away to patch up a wound.

She ducks down to avoid the stab from Ikku, using her crouched position to launch upwards at him and slash at his abdomen with a kunai of her own in hand.

Tonou doesn't let up from his assault. Before the Tall boy is able to gain proper footing Tonou is in front of him using Fury Fists. Tonou plans on following it up with Winded Double Kick. Void of thought and compassion Tonou is fighting with everything he has.

He exclaimed, feeling the heat being generated off of the ball of lightning" That's not good" kotetsu hopped backwards in a diagonal direction, to get out of the direct path, as he swung his katana and sent another arc into the ground in front of the lightning ball.

He did this in an attempt to break up part of the ground and try to hit her and the jutsu with rocks and debris. From here Kotetsu moved and put a little of distance between him and the girl while also moving closer to his team mates.

"So you have lightning chakara?" He said in a rhetorical non chalant manner in an attempt to provoke the girl. Kotetsu's left hand slid behind his back, hidden by his baggy robe, and retrieved his other weapon Divine Impaler. He kept it his for now in his sleeve, waiting for the girls next move

Ikku
Ikku is slashed in the abdomen by Mianyi's attack, but it only causes him to further slash at Mianyi, this time throwing four different slashes with his Kunai toward Mianyi. His eyes have turned manic, laughter is playing off of his lips. He is loving the fight, especially now that blood has been drawn.

Tall Boy
The Tall Boy is unable to handle to relentless assault from Tonou, taking hit after hit after hit until finally he lost his footing and fell into the river, his head striking a rock as he fell. He was unconscious as his body rolled into the river, never to come back up.

Blonde Girl
The Blonde Girl covers her face as debris falls around her. She then locates Kotetsu and sends another bolt of lightning at him. This time a bit faster and more accurate. She stays away from him, recognizing the danger of his sword.

Ok, this guy can just get right the hell away from Mianyi now. She tries to roll away from the slashes that he's aiming for her and she takes some shallow cuts along her upper body from him. Ugh. What a jerk. To get him away from her she uses a mini tornado to try and scoot him right on away, at least a few feet.

That jutsu:

Tonou doesn't take the time to watch his first confirmed kill instead he looks to assist one of his comrades. Mianyi is the obvious choice for him and uses Gone with the Wind to get to Ikku and Mianyi immediately. Seeing that Mianyi is trying to push Ikku back he withdraws his kunai and prepares to stab Ikku from behind in tandem with her attack.

Kotetsu resheathed his short sword and readied himself by charging his sword again but even more this time. The lightning chakara from the blade produced an eerie noise of crackling and popping.

Using his tomoe 1, he notice he wouldn't be able to dodge in time. So instead he planted his feet and swung his katana just as the ball became in range, Right before impact he sent off another arc to weaken the ball but when he swung this time he used his left hand to grab the end of the curved handle for more leverage in an attempt to deflect the ball away, but he received slight burns on his hands and felt moderate fatigue from exerting parts of his chakara into his sword.

Ikku
Ikku's blind rage and anger leaves himself open for the hit from Mianyi. This hit would lead to his death, as the knock back would send him to Tonou. Tonou's kunai dug deep into Ikku's back, severing arteries. Ikku fell to the ground in a scream of rage. He was a few feet from Mianyi, but right next to Tonou. He laughed darkly, and then unveiled a layer of bomb tags strapped to his chest. "From sand to dust.. kukuku."

BOOM


Blonde Girl
Recognizing the trouble Kotetsu had with her lightning bolts, she continues to throw them at him. This time throwing 3 Lightning Bolts consecutively. These bolts are aimed at his upper torso, and aimed to kill. When the explosion hits she doesn't seem bothered that two of her allies have died.

Mianyi reacts quickly as soon as she sees the bomb tags strapped to the genin from Kusa, trying to get away and down from the bomb that's about to detonate. She'll try to spring away from him and hit the ground, covering her head and neck with her hands. She'd like to have helped Tonou, but at that range she has no idea what to do besides get away.

Tonou can't hold his surprise when the bomb explodes. Using his speed he is able to turn his body away from it and protect his face. The blast knocks him backwards into the hard earth near the bank of the river. For a few minutes he is still. His cloak is on fire, and his body is bleeding in several places. He slowly shifts and removes the cloak and then his shirt. His skin underneath is raw and bleeding profoundly. His legs are badly burnt, as is his right arm. His face has managed to avoid damage. He slowly attempts to stand but falls back to his knees.

Upon hearing the explosion, kotetsu activated his Sharingan-Tomoe 2. Even though he didn't know his comrades he was willing to put his life on the line for then and feared the worst when hearing the violent sound the paper bombs produced.

By now his attitude and personality completely shifted. From a mischievous and playful kid to a more serious tone. Kotetsu's eyes seemed fierce and full of intent to kill as he mimicked the girls technique. Although instead of throwing three he only threw two, which he hit the center one and on the right side canceling those bolts out.

He then attempted to spin away from the last incoming bolt, yet he was to late to completely evade it. The technique grazed his left should pretty badly. Kotetsu's shoulder was bleeding but not to badly. The biggest problem was the semi paralysis in his left arm due to the shock.

"Let's go ahead and end this" he said while completing hand signs with his right hand and his left layed limp by his side. His eyes seemed to glare even more as his body began to fade away from casting Demonic Illusion-Tree Binding Technique. After just a short second a tree began to sprout from behind the female shinobi and attempt to wrap around her.

Blonde Girl
The Blonde Girl begins to scream and panic as the Genjutsu ensnares her and traps her. She panics, releasing bolts of lightning every direction, even behind her towards Sera. Before Sera can intervene a shadow appears abruptly behind the Blonde Girl. A Kunai is stabbed into the Blond Girl and she falls to the ground, lifeless. A tall man adorned with a Kusa Flak Jacket now stands on the battle field.

Sera
As soon as Sera sees the man appear she begins to panic, but a kunai lodges in to her backside as she tries to run. She falls to the ground in agony. The attack isn't fatal, but she knows that once the man is done with the other Genin, he will kill her for failing to secure the river.

Chouka
"This is why you don't leave Genin to secure resources... No matter, I will end this quickly." Chouka is a Jounin from Kusa, and has a reputation for being able to use 'White Fire', fire so hot that it burns and disintegrates everything it touches.

Mianyi looks around when the blast is done, frantically looking to take stock of where the enemy combatants are and where her teammates are. She can't help but notice Tonou's terrible condition and she runs over to his side. "Tonou…" she whispers, her voice full of concern and inquiry as to what his condition is. If only she had been able to learn some medical ninjutsu already, but the techniques are all so difficult that she's yet to convince anyone to teach her.

She looks up to see the Kusa jounin arrive and harm two of his own. Wait - why is he killing his own ninjas? But he appears equally willing to kill them. "Tonou, get up," she says in a firm voice that indicates there is trouble and her teammate needs to snap to attention, no matter his wounds. To buy Tonou some recovery time, she uses Lightning Beast Tracking Fang to create a hound made of raiton chakra which she sends charging for the jounin, steering it to follow him so that it keeps him away from her, Tonou, and Kotetsu.

Tonou continues to struggle on the ground, but Mianyi's voice alerts him to a new threat. Quickly, he senses it. The strength is off the charts, it must be a Jounin Rank. He gathers himself upward and releases all four of his shuriken at the Jounin. He then stumbles back to a knee.

Kotetsu appeared from the jutsu to see his combatant was struck down by her own team member. "Why?" He asked himself, astonished at the ruthless nature of this shinobi.

Wait, this guy obviously is confident enough to take us all three alone . That thought kept running through his head when trying to process the reason behind the mysterious betrayel. So by assumption, Kotetsu figured the opponent is at least chunin maybe a jonin rank.

Without hesitation he moved to a position closer to his team mates in a defensive stance, yet not to close so the enemy couldn't hit them all with the same attack. There he did hand signs as a small flock of crows came from the trews and formed a clone. Crow clone technique

After the clone formed, Kotetsu handed the clone his katana. He knew the clone couldn't perform jutsu but still possessed chakara to activate the sword, but kotetsu himself only had one fully functioning arm at that point. So Kotetsu decided to wield Divine Impaler an keep it and his hands hidden in his baggy sleeves ready for action, as the clone jumped about 10 feet to the side with the katana raised and ready.

Chouka created a few hand seals and sent two solid javelins made from obsidian at the crow clone and the lightning hound, impaling and dispersing both. It was evident that Chouka was able to use Gaton, the Glass element. He then slammed both of his hands on the ground, creating a glass dome that enclosed Tonou, Mianyi, and Kotetsu. The Glass dome was thick, too thick to break through without a lot of force. Force that would be needed to deal with the threat inside. "Now, let's get this started."
