Appearance: Kei stands at six feet, four inches tall. Weighing 185 lbs he is slim in stature but has a trim, muscular tone. Kei is most recognizable by his blonde spiked hair. His hair gives Kei a sort of punk look to him, especially with it spiked so high and wild. Kei's eyes are a dark blue that seem to pierce anyone he looks at. Most of the time his face holds a bored or laid back expression. Only when faced with dangerous or potentially harmful situations does his demeanor change. When not wearing the traditional Raikage robes, Kei wears an overly large white shirt with the right sleeve cut off. This is accompanied by black pants and small yellow vest over the shirt.

Personality: Kei is simply lazy. There isn't another way to put it. Kei generally drags his feet when it comes to getting things done, and interesting problem he faces as the Raikage. He is consistently late to meetings, sleeps in to the late morning hours, and is always the first person to delegate paperwork to anyone he can. Even though he is lazy, he is genuinely a kind-hearted person who works hard to guarantee the success of his village. Kei cares about Kumo more than anything else, and shows it by his devote study into protecting the village and making it a global power against the other hidden villages. When threatened, Kei goes into a fury. Most people who have seem in such a situation describe him as a loose-canon and uncontrollable.

History: Kei was born in Kumogakure no Sato into the Raiken family. He is the oldest of four, with three younger brothers. His parents were both Kumo Chuunin (retired now). As a child Kei was known to excel in most everything he did. By the age of six people were already talking about how much promise he showed. At only six he was able to start using Raiton, the Lightning element, thus garnishing the name, Kumo's Little Bolt. His elemental affinity at a young age allowed Kei to graduate the academy at age 10, becoming one of the youngest Genin in Kumo.

The Genin years allowed Kei to push his Raiton abilities further, with countless hours of practice with his Jounin sensei, Shunsuke Oue. Shunsuke Oue was a strong Raiton user as well, and handed down a lot of information and Jutsu to the young Kei. Training excelled Kei and his team (Team 2) through the Chuunin exams only two years after graduating the academy. Kei was the youngest of his team at age 12, as Seiya and Chieko were both 16. Team 2 stayed together after their Chuunin exams and begun to take on more serious missions like B rank and the occasional A rank mission.

Three years after becoming Chuunin, Team 2 went on a reconnaissance mission in the Rice Country. The team were ambushed by Oto ninja, and caught completely off guard as they had believed that Otogakure no longer existed. Team 2 were able to defeat the attackers, but Shunsuke was killed during the fight. Deciding to call off the mission, Team 2 returned to Kumo with their sensei's body. War soon erupted as Otogakure ninja stormed the boarders of Kumo. Kei, only 15, lead his team as well as two other teams through the front-line and into the heart of Otogakure. There his team fought the self-proclaimed Otokage's guard and Kei fought the Otokage on his own, killing him with the Raiton Focus Technique Shunsuke had taught him.

Upon returning to Kumo, Kei was promoted to Jounin along with Seiya and Chieko. The three of them would then separate, causing Team 2 to come to an end. Kei continued doing solo missions over the years, constantly turning down opportunities to teach a team of his own, or join Kumo's ANBU. Nine years after the Otogakure war, the Raikage 'Z' decided to step down. He asked to speak with Kumo's Little Bolt, and accused Kei of growing lazy and distant over the years. Kei, stubborn and determined to prove otherwise, accepted Z's round-a-bout way of asking him to become the next Raikage.
