Mianyi Kamiya vs. Kusa 6 [Finished]

Mianyi your NPC player will be myself. I will post first later tonight including details of you are fighting. You will then have 24 hours to respond. After seven posts each the fight will be determined by the judges.

Sera stood across from her opponent on the platform. She was roughly 5'5" and was of medium build with long dreaded hair. She looked as if she only showered once a month. She looked Mianyi up and down, laughed and pulled out a kunai ready to fight. In a matter of seconds she was sprinting towards Mianyi, the fight had begun.

Mianyi barely has a moment to spare, not even enough time to take a deep steadying breath to gather herself together. No, she's forced to react as this unhygienic beast of a girl runs at her. Mianyi in turn nimbly leaps away, for she has no wish to be stabbed by a kunai or to get to close to whatever germs Sera is carrying with her. As she leaps away, Mianyi weaves handseals to leave behind a mini tornado that whisks behind her and towards Sera in a bid to give Mianyi a bit of time and distance to make her next move.

Sera's bullish charge is met with a tornado which lifts her up and sends her backwards ten feet. She slams so hard into the stadium that she drops her Kunai. She hops back onto her feet and curses. Making a few hand seals she inflates her chest and then sends a large fireball at Mianyi.

Great Fireball Jutsu

Victory! Wait, it's a bit early for that. And it has happened before that Mianyi celebrated a 'victory' too soon and was caught off guard and suffered for it. She'll save it for now, except that… uh oh! Fire is the very thing that Mianyi's wind release jutsus are weak against. Forgoing any pretext at pretending to be confident, Mianyi opts for a scampering run away from the fireball's path, though is a bit too slow to get away and suffers some scalding burns. Ow.

She opts for another strategy and falls to the ground feigning injury. If Sera appears to be buying it and will approach her to deal a close range strike, Mianyi will use her most powerful technique, Poison Mist, to try to sicken and weaken Sera. (Although, considering the stench and dirt on Sera, Mianyi can't help but wonder if such poison will actually work.) If Sera keeps her distance, Mianyi will throw shuriken and use her Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken technique to attack her opponent while getting up and feigning a limp into a defense position.

Sera watches her opponent and begins to laugh and very villainous and sickening laugh. Many of the onlookers are annoyed by her arrogance. "Seriously, is this what the 'Great Village' produce?" Sera's pride has always been her down fall and she approaches Mianyi ready to strike her with a kunai. She is caught by the feint and is hit by the Poison Mist. Coughing and screeching Sera runs back and begins to throw Shuriken at Sera, all of them covered in fire.

Again Mianyi remembers the lesson learned before about not counting a victory before it's been truly had and reacts to the shuriken coming at her. She forgoes the fake limp in favor of moving more speedily, but her previous burns hinder her ability to bail on the incoming flaming shuriken, one catching her in the leg. She quickly extinguishes the flames and rips it out of her leg, splattering the ground with some blood from the wound, but now she has cause for a real limp and her movements are consequently slowed.

But Sera's movement should be impeded too, if Mianyi was able to successfully use her poison mist to full effect against her opponent. She quickly weaves the hand signs for another mini tornado which she launches at Sera and then she takes a gamble, running at her opponent with a kunai in hand for defense, trying to pin her opponent between the wall, a tornado, and herself so that she can kick Sera in the stomach. And well, maybe Mianyi will get really lucky (doubtful) and Sera will get kicked into the tornado.

Sera is struggling with the effects of the tornado, so much that she is kicked in the stomach and launched into the tornado which lifts her into the air and then whiplashes her back to the ground, her head banging on the stage. She slowly rolls over and gets up, spitting out a little bit of blood from her mouth. She turns to Mianyi and attempts to throw a kunai at her, however the poison causes her kunai to launch to far to the left, completely missing.

Well, that was incredibly lucky for Mianyi. If the girl doesn't have skill (in her opinion at least), then at least luck is on her side. But how far will that luck carry her?

"Do you yield?" Mianyi asks, trying to sound authoritative to force Sera to call the match, but of course Mianyi's voice fails her and comes out more like she's begging Sera rather than demanding her opponent give in. Since her voice fails her, Mianyi gathers up enough chakra for a Wind Release: Great Breakthrough to batter her opponent into the other side of the stadium, hoping to drive the point home.

And hopefully it does, for Mianyi is starting to feel her chakra reserves running low and she's not sure how much longer she can keep this going, or continue to use jutsu, and although she got a kick in earlier, her taijutsu skills are subpar at best.

Sera pulls herself up and uses her energy to launch at Mianyi. The fury and rage on her face is unmistakable as she screams at Mianyi, the kunai that had fallen earlier now in her hand. She stopped directly in front of Mianyi and threw a hard kick at her side, then an uppercut with the kunai with enough force to kill.

From the crowd, Kei Raiken who had been observing the match tensed, ready to step in before the kunai struck the Suna Genin's neck. He would wait for a split-second however and give Mianyi a chance to deal with the dangerous display of aggression.

When the raging beast comes at Mianyi, an 'oh shit' look briefly crosses her face and she opts for the super high ranking playing dead no jutsu technique. Or in other words, she tries to hit the deck to avoid that kick and slash combo. The hard kick hits her in her side as intended, but as Mianyi is no longer upright she's launched into the air instead and out of range of that kunai slash aimed for her neck.

Mianyi bounces on the ground some distance away before she can manage to roll with the impact, quickly weaving gathering chakra and weaving hand seals in a desperate attempt to get a mini tornado between her and Sera before she staggers to her feet.

Perhaps that earlier 'taunt' was unwise.

Sera starts to follow in a rage after her initial attack, but the poison had finally taken its toll. Mid stride, halfway to Mianyi she crumbles to the ground, unable to fight any longer. Her breathes are drawn out and exasperated. The Raikage was suddenly standing between the two fighters.

"Hey, proctor, you going to call this or watch your Genin die?" Kei's words were sharp and concise. His friendly demeanor gone. The proctor nods, shaken by the Raikage's harsh tone.

"The winner is Mianyi Kamiya."

Luckily for Sera, Mianyi had no intention of dealing a killing blow like Sera had attempted earlier. Mianyi is in poor condition herself, standing on shaky legs with a pool of blood slowly collecting below one of her feet. She nods at the verdict, offers an unstable bow in the direction of Sera, and then limps off the stadium floor to get some treatment and rest before the next fight. Somewhere in there is a small squeaked "Thank you," in the Raikage's direction, but it's entirely likely that it would have gotten overheard or drowned out among other noise in the stadium.
