[Pirate Warfare] The Golden Child

OOC: So for you Suna shinobi @poleon @shimura92 @alexana (@kami. feel free to join us with the Kazekage) this is our travel Galleon to Kiri. It is named The Golden Child after Gaara, the fifth Kazekage. Just a nice easter egg. I will start it off!

Tonou desperately did not want to go. He pleaded, begged, bargained, and lied to try to get out of the trip over sea, but he was told he had to go. Without any luck of getting out of the trip he decided to pack as few essentials as possible and arrive to port as early as possible. When he arrived at the port he saw an enormous Galleon. It had a large cabin with many small rooms and a large upper deck that supported many of the Daiymo's family. The captain was a burly man and stuck to his cabin where the Daimyo resided as well. Other Suna shinobi were filing into other Galleon's as well, but none had the stature of the first. Before walking up onto the Galleon he decided he would wait for Mianyi so that they could ride together.

Mianyi has far fewer reservations about riding on a large ship and going to this big event. In fact, she's thrilled. She excitedly packed up some clothing for the trip and then made her way to the docks, where she looks over the galleon with a large grin on her face. "Wow…" she whispers under her breath. She then jumps onto the docks where all the other Suna shinobi are, including Tonou, and approaches him with some eagerness. "Isn't it exciting?" she asks him in a rare show of emotion and chattiness.

Tenoji had packed all of his ninja tools, and extra supplies of ink with him for this journey. He wanted to draw lots of scenery during this trip, "I've never been overseas...this shall be interesting..." He makes his way toward The Golden Child and he examines all the people boarding the ship. He looks for Baki and Himuwa, wanting to join them before setting sail.

Right on time, not early nor late, the Kazekage and his party of three others arrived. Eyeing the Golden Child with analytical eyes, it seemed as if Satoru was hesitant on boarding, but he was simply admiring the appearance of the vessel a bit longer than most would. His gourd of Iron Sand bound against his back, his frame shrouded in all black stepped aboard the ship in front of the other's accompanying him. Two his personal guards, the other his most trusted advisor, someone he rarely went outside the village without. "Sachio . . ." His voice was smooth yet raspy and coarse, low in decibels as if he were sick, but this was just his natural tone. "Care to watch my gourd for the trip?" His guard nodded and the Kazekage removed the heavy weighted Navy Blue container of blood drenched death, he was putting off cleaning out the volumes of sand until he arrived in Kirigakure.

Sitting down in an area on the ship that just about anyone would be on, no where special despite his political status, Satoru pulled out a book and began some reading while his company stood by. Sachio with the gourd in front of his Kage leaning against the mast of the ship, Kinkaku, his second guard was looking out to the sea, and his advisor Tokujin, was sitting next to Satoru looking over mission reports. "Hopes for a smooth ride Sato?" Tokujin's lips moved, but his eyes were steady scanning over the reports. "I wouldn't mind a pest filled vessel or two. It's been awhile since I've gotten to shake the rust off since I've been Kazekage." His advisor chuckled and nodded slowly.

Himuwa did not want to go, he thought even if there was peace that he shouldnt go, that he wanted to be there to protect the village. But his teammate was going and his sensei made him promise he would go. He figured it would be perfect to show how well he could control his chakra, he felt that he was a shoe in, and most other shinobi were competing for second. He would never voice that, it would not be polite.
He arrived a few minutes after the Kazekage. He beat himself up over it, how bad that looked. He hoped the kazekage did not notice and if he did would forget after the he won the competition. He sat near the main sail and waited for the boat to leave.

Tonou nodded to Mianyi and got on board. When he noticed the Kazekage and two other Suna Genin get on board he nonchalantly ignored it. Tonou was still salty about being forced to travel to the Water Country. He found a comfortable spot sitting crossed-legged on the main deck. All around him busy bodies were moving left and right. The air smelt like salt water and seagulls circled high above them.

Mianyi enthusiastically runs aboard the ship and leaves Tonou behind in favor of having a look around the ship, doing her best to stay out of the crew's way as they prepare to set sail. She eventually settles for a position at the bow of the boat where she enthusiastically watches the last prep work as the ship unties from the dock and unfurls it's sails and begins to leave the port. Once they've started moving her attention turns to watching the waves below and admiring the horizon.

Tenoji boards the ship and see's Himuwa and Mianyi, before he can greet them thought he notices the Kazekage is on board. Not wanting to draw any attention to himself he finds a nice secluded area on the boat and begins to draw some pictures of the ocean, thinking it would be nice to create a picture journal of his travels.

Closing his eyes calmly, the Kazekage listened to the idle banter of those aboard the Golden Child and became synchronized with the steady rock of the ship. It was a rather boring voyage and it didn't show much promise of picking up in excitement. As unenthusiastic as he seemed to be as a person -which is mostly true- he enjoyed a display of action or at least something to watch to keep him occupied mentally. His arms crossed across his chest as he perceived the things around him with closed eyes his breathes were deep and paced until Tokujin opened his mouth and spoke again. "I think Kinkaku has those Fuinjutsu scrolls you were studying on the way here, perhaps you can find refuge in a bit of studying."

Satoru remained motionless and silent for a moment, before finally responding. "Maybe later, I think I'll rest for a few." Satoru could feel the movement of his advisor and sense the humor in his motions. "You think I won't get to it?" "I'm sure you will Kazekage-sama, . . . I'm sure you will." The Kazekage shook his head in disdain, eyes still sealed shut before mumbling. "I'll be sure to learn to seal that mouth of your shut . . . or perhaps your brain."

Himuwa finds Tenoji and sits next to him. He begins to mediate focusing on his chakra and moving it through his body. He felt him and his teammate need not to talk, they were both focused on their own task. They were a team and that is why he searched him out, the trip would be long and he would want to talk to Tenoji eventually.

"PIRATES! PIRATES APPROACH-!!!!!"

CRASH

The Golden Child rocked and shook as a harness was shot through the lower deck, hooking it to a Pirate ship that sprung up from the depths below, a bubble that had encompassed it below popped as it emerged. Everything around the ship turned to mayhem as pirates stormed the deck, hundreds of them. Tonou pulled out a kunai and begun ushering civilians to the hull and cabins below. all around him pirates and shinobi began to clash. It was obvious that the pirates were rogue, as they all seemed capable of doing jutsu as well.

Mianyi looks around dazed as the cry goes up and then something crashes into the ship. She falls over with the force of it, then gets to her feet and looks around. Pirates?! Well that's no good! She quickly creates a Lightning Beast Tracking Fang to rush at some of the oncoming pirates, forcing two of them over the ship's edge and back into the water below. With some space around her, she grabs her knives and uses them to deflect a few blows aimed her way, backing up to take up a more defensive position near allies.

Sakyo was seated painting a picture of the ocean, when suddenly he fell over from a sudden impact. An immense ship came forth from the water, and the wind blew away his painting. As dozens upon dozens of pirates stormed the ship, civilians ran inside. He didn't understand their purpose or reason for attacking, but it was clear that many would die unless these pirates were taken care of. Sakyo grabbed hold of his tantō and began clashing with several pirates. He was more skillful in kenjutsu compared to these scallywags, carving through them with precision. Sakyo kept his eyes open looking for the Kazekage when suddenly a small ball rolled into his vicinity. There was a loud bang that released an enormous light, disorienting him and the nearby pirates.

~Shit! I can't see or hear anything~

Just for a moment, the synchronization Satoru had found with the ship's rhythmic swaying was broken and he felt the disturbance before it had fully revealed itself for what it was. He and his party remained calm throughout the whole introduction however. No need to fret or scramble, all things needed time and this was no different although it was a bit more dire in the minds of many others. "Seems like the Kazekage's almighty fortune telling ability isn't much of a rumor huh?" Tokujin calmly chuckled at the fact pirates had turned up as Satoru wished for early. Eyes still on his mission reports, he paused briefly to scan the enemy forces, before his eyes went back to them. Satoru's eyes on the contrary remained closed and digested his words throughout all the yelling and chaos.

"I wouldn't say fortune telling, simply planning for the worst keeps me from getting caught in the rain without an umbrella like the rest of these poor fo- eh venturers. If I'm wrong . . . then at least my pessimism or twisted whims will allow some to make it to their destination alive and in good health. . ., but that's not the case today." The rolling of an heavy item on the wooden floor of the Golden Child was heard and as it came closer to the Kazekage he lifted but a single foot to halt it's advance, it was his Iron Sand Gourd. "That's a nice way to put it. Nonetheless I'll be in the hull, would hate to let blood stains ruin these mission reports while I'm so close to being done. Send one of the ducklings for me later." Kinkaku and Sachio scoffed at being likened to ducklings, both eagerly waiting for Satoru's nonverbal permission to enter the situation. Satoru nodded to Tokujin and without a hint of urgency, opened his eyes as he perceived the footsteps of a running presence coming towards his location. Tokujin taking his leave and giving Satoru full view of this pirate, the cork of his gourd was shot like a bottle rocket making a satisfying deep toned *boop* as the dark blue projectile was fired like a bullet. Straight into the cranium of the one who was approaching, just like that he found himself stunned and caught unguarded. The Sunagakure guard -Kinkaku- hidden by the veil of symphonic mayhem was swift to relinquish the man's life with a katana blade straight through the center of the chest piercing his heart in one fell movement.

Like three ancient sentries locked away in an abandoned realm long untouched, the three elder Sand Shinobi were activated and performed the task of defeating pirate after pirate as if it were a summer chore. Sachio and Kinkaku relying on basic Kenjutsu, while Satoru utilized his Iron Sand, but on a very small scale, very focused attacks targeting one at a time.

One slightly familiar Sunagakure Genin caught in Satoru's peripherals seeming to be under some heat, the Kazekage extended the extension of himself -Iron Sand- in the form of a tight and protective typhoon around the boy as he was blinded from a flash bomb. Slightly phased, but hardly disoriented enough to have his own efficiency dampened, the tornado of protective iron sand around his fellow shinobi had fallen to the ground, then spread out in arm like tendrils from the ground to bind the pirates around the Genin. Sachio and Kinkaku taking notice oft he Kazekage's actions went in like bloodhounds to alleviate two of the three pirates from the equation, the third left for the Genin whom was under the curious, yet protective, lens of the three elder ninja.

Himuwa was shaken from his almost dream-like state. He saw the commotion unfold. He noted that The ninja on his boat were doing okay against the ambush, but the civilians could use a hand. He thought the best course of action was a distraction. He ran to the edge and jumped over to the pirate ship.

"This will slow their attack" he thought. Byakugan

Several pirates charged him, he was able to nimbly move and avoid their attacks while at the same time attacking, hitting chakra points that made it hard for some to stand. These pirates were not very skilled they just had numbers. For everyone he hit another popped up willing to take his place.

"Is there no end to these pirates" he thought at he evaded attacks. With the number of pirates he had to evade more and got to make a solid hit a lot less.

The surge of pirates begins to thin, as the weaklings among their group are easily culled by the ninjas aboard The Golden Child. But while the numbers of pirates thins, the strength and skill of those who remain provides a new type of challenge for the ninjas. Far from being a one on one fight, this is becoming a two on one or a three on one as the Sunagakure shinobi must work together to defeat the remaining pirates, who seem to be missing-nins and those who have some degree of ninja training.

Mianyi channels chakra into her knives and tries to creep among the injured and dying as quietly as a little mouse, trying to head to where a cluster of Sunagakure genin are fighting against some of the pirates and avoid head on one on one combat against these stronger pirates.

Ahead she sees an opportunity - one of the pirates (or is it a missing-nin now?) fighting against two Sunagakure ninjas seems unaware of her approach. Moving quietly, she strikes from behind with her knives, severing the tendons in the back of his knees. As he crumples to the ground he whirls about with his blade and nearly takes Mianyi's head off. As it is, Mianyi suffers a gash to her upper forehead  and she reels backwards, tripping over a body on the ground and tumbling into one of the galleon's masts. The other Sunagakure ninjas finish off the man and then defend against someone who comes to take their place, giving Mianyi a moment to recover. The cut bleeds far worse than it is, but the blood trickles down into one of her eyes, making it hard to see, combined with a bit of daze from hitting the ship's mast.
