The Rich Merchant | Rank C mission [Finished]

Tomoe has called her team together to undergo a mission.

It is a simple C rank mission to escort a merchant transporting his valuable goods from Konoha to Ikebukuro, a small village about an hour southeast of Konoha. There is no trouble anticipated this close to Konoha, but the man is carrying jewelry worth a substantial fortune, so the escort is warranted. Tomoe has chosen to take her team on this mission as a test of their initial abilities to function as a team, but on a simple task that she's fairly sure no one will screw up. Or embarrass Konoha during.

Although the Hokage has no intention of fighting, nor expects there to be any such encounters on the path, she's dressed for travel in a short kimono, leggings, and with her tools on her belt. Her signature weapons, a pair of fans, are seen dangling from her belt, always within quick reach.

Tomoe's team will meet the merchant they are to escort at the gates of Konoha early in the morning, but Tomoe has asked her team to meet a half hour before they are scheduled to meet the man, but the meeting location has not changed in the slightest.

She waits for her team to show up to begin this mission.

Daisuke came flying through the village and to the meeting place for the mission. As usual, he was the first to arrive. "Hello Hokage-sensei!" Daisuke was shouting as usual, but his anxiety issues were improving greatly, and he had a sense of readyness and eagerness to his stature.

Arakui arrives at the meeting place. He notices Daisuke and nods with a big smile.

Arakui looks at the Hokage and bows. "Hello Hokage. I am ready for the mission."

Arakui notices Krysto hasn't arrived yet.

"Where's Krysto?"

Tomoe smiles at the arrival of the ever enthusiastic Daisuke followed by the Uchiha. "Nice to see the two of you arriving on time. I'm sure Krysto will be along shortly."

She glances down the street, expecting to see the Kaguya come trotting along any moment now. But at least they will not be late when the merchant arrives.

"Damn it, damn it! Late again! sensei's gonna kill me!l

Krysto dash through the crowd, after helping an old lady with her bags he was now running late for their first mission. He turned the corner and was met by his team already waiting for him. He bowed before their sensei in shame.

"Sorry sensei! I came as fast as i could"

"And there he is," Tomoe replies, a slight smile at seeing Krysto hurry there. "Next time do try to be on time. I had us meet here early so that you wouldn't all be late and make a bad impression for the merchant, but punctuality is something I expect each of you to learn."

With that said, she then looks over the three. "The mission is a simple one. We are escorting Mr. Matsumoto to the small village of Ikebukuro, about an hour southeast of Konoha. He is carrying with him some valuable jewelry, so we will be ensuring that he and his jewelry arrive safely at his home. This close to Konoha we do not expect any trouble, but I expect all three of you to remain vigilant. This is a test to see how well you are able to complete a simple task together." She does not think it also needs to be said that anyone who would want to interfere with the merchant's journey would back off upon recognizing the Hokage.

"Are there any questions?" she asks, since they have a little time before the merchant arrives.

Daisuke nodded his head no. He shot a glare at Krysto and established a mind connect. 'Oi! Don't be late, Krysto!' Daisuke then turns to Arakui and establishes another Mind Connection. 'Better than radios, eh?' Finally Daisuke turns to Tomoe and bows, he wouldn't dare set up a mind connection with the Hokage, he deemed himself unworthy of such an action. "No questions here Hokage-sensei!"

~i wont! I had to help an eldery lady! She barely could hold her bags~

"No sensei! Mission understood."

He tightened his headband and clenched his fist. Team 1! Lets go!"

Arakui looks at Daisuke and laughs. Then he turns to the Hokage.

"No question, I'm good to go."

Arakui turns to Krysto and laughs harder. He holds up a thumb to Krysto.

"Sure thing."

Tomoe smiles at the enthusiasm displayed by her team and looks satisfied with this starting attitude.

Before long a man in his mid-40s trundles down the road to the gates. He's dressed simply, but his clothing is made of fine quality materials. He has a well-cared for look to him and a simple pack at his side. He breaks into a broad grin and smiles when he sees the Hokage, bowing slightly. "Lady Hokage, how unexpected! And what an honor!"

Tomoe returns the bow, "A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Matsumoto. These three are genin under my training and will be seeing you safely to Ikebukuro. They are Arakui Uchiha, Daisuke Yamanaka, and Krysto Kaguya. We're ready to depart as soon as you are." She indicates each genin in turn and the man nods and smiles, looking pleased with his escort. "Let's be off!" he says.

He walks out of the village with the Hokage beside him.

Daisuke walks out in front and unbuttons his Kunai pouch. He wants to prepared for anything, even if he does do it a little over-dramatically. 'Krysto, why don't you take the opposite side of where sensei is standing next to Matsumoto. Arakui, activate your Sharingan and walk in the back. This will surround him in a full diamond.' Daisuke begins to scan in front of them. When a bird flies up, or a squirrel runs across the road his muscles tense.

Arakui waits for everyone to walk in front before he starts following behind.

"Sharingan: Activate!"

He activates his two-tomoe Sharingan. He starts to look around them. His eyes dart left to right, constantly surveying.

Krysto nods and walks to where daisuke wanted him. His eyes scanning the forrest every once in a while. After much of nothingness, he slid his hands in his pockets and calmly continued walking.

Tomoe smiles as her genin organize themselves in formation around her and the merchant. While they are focused on their task, Tomoe engages the merchant in pleasant chatter about all manner of topics ranging from inquiring after his family to his business and hobbies. Despite the apparent ease and casualness of the Hokage, it would be a mistake to assume she wasn't paying attention to their surroundings. In the unlikely case that something is coming up, she'll leave it to her genin to react appropriately, stepping in only if they seem to be remiss in something.

OOC: Do you want us to initiate a disturbance? Or are you going to?

Daisuke continues to scan in front, listening to every little thing. At one point he heard something moving along the side of road, hidden behind the trees, but upon further investigation, was nothing more than a wild boar, deciding if 5 people was worth the relentless charge. He must of thought better of it, because that was some time off.

Arakui continues his trek behind the Hokage and the merchant. He looks all around and sees nothing out of the ordinary. He pulls out his kunai and begins twirling it between his fingers.

OOC: if you want to then go for it. It's your guys mission really.

"Well, this is some nice weather. A cool light breeze is unbeatable."

He set his hands behind his head and kept on walking.

Tomoe continues to enjoy a pleasant stroll with the merchant, leaving it up to her genin to take care of any disturbances that might pop up.

Daisuke suddenly notices something ahead, something he had not anticipated. In front of the road is a few armed men, they are carrying crossbows, three men in total. From either side of the road the bushes began to bustle until four men on either side leap out, pointing their crossbows towards the group. They look as if they are pretty wild, uneducated, and most likely poor.

"Hey, we will take the merchant from hear."

"To hell you will!"

Team. GO!'

Arakui runs toward the crossbowmen on the left, expecting Krysto to take the men on the right.

"Housenka no Jutsu"

Arakui creates four fireballs and throws four shuriken in each one towards the men on the left.

Krysto pulled out a kunai and entered battle stance. He got in front of the merchant as a body shield.

Tomoe has confidence that her genin will perform well in dealing with these thugs. "I'll watch the merchant and you three take care of them." She pulls her fans out and holds them in a defensive position in case someone makes it past the genin and gets close to the merchant, who stands near her.

Trusting his team mates, Daisuke only focuses on the three men in front of him. Quickly he uses his genjutsu, Sea of Bodies. The crossbow men turn left and then right confused. They begin firing bolts at the fake Daisuke's. The bolts going through them. Daisuke checks to make sure none of the bolts end up going towards the merchant. Seeing Tomoe with her fans out next the merchant, he knows that he'll be fine. Daisuke propels forward aiming a kick at the thug in the center. The man is knocked backwards, the crossbow flying out of his hands. Daisuke punches the one on the left, knocking him unconscious, and then round house kicks the one to the right, rendering him useless as well.

Arakui follows the shuriken he threw.

Once he gets to the crossbow men he fights his way through the four of them. He disarms them with Taijutsu.

"Hokage, what would you like me to do with these guys?"

The four men are all tied together with binding wire.
